Today’s Kindle Daily Deals includes two books in Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series, featuring a “waitress at a Tennessee BBQ joint [who is] by night is a tough female assassin”. Yet another reason to be very nice to the servers down at Archer’s BBQ here in town. These two are just the ones I’m missing in the center of the series, too!
B&N has had another malfunction in their Daily Deal pricing, as the new release by Samantha Chase is full price there; no worry, it’s down to $0.99 on Kindle! If you have a Nook reader or tablet and you purchase books on it, be sure to double check all your receipts. Apparently B&N is using different server to display prices on the devices than the one that actually processes orders and they are not always in sync. I’ve seen reports of people buying books marked as free and being charged for them, plus when they look books up on the tablet and the computer at the same time, they see different pricing (the pricing shown on the computer is apparently what is used at the time of purchase, regardless of what is seen on the Nook device itself).
