New Release Books

Today’s first Featured New Release is The Price of Justice: An Innocent Prisoners Project Novel ($4.99 Kindle), by Marti Green [Thomas & Mercer].

Book Description
Seven years ago, Winston Melton was on top of the world: a privileged kid fresh off his first semester at Princeton. Life was perfect—until he was accused of the rape and murder of an ex-girlfriend. Years after his conviction, another death-row inmate has come forward with an eleventh-hour confession, casting Win’s conviction in a new light. But with the ink drying on his death sentence, time is running short.

Win’s grandmother, the family matriarch, has her eyes set on one of the Help Innocent Prisoners Project’s defense lawyers: Dani Trumball, and her reputation for results, no matter the cost. Dani, concerned she is being bought, initially refuses but eventually takes the case.

Soon, Dani can sense that something’s off, both with Win’s conviction and the new confession. But seven years after the incident, is there still a chance of uncovering the truth?

Today’s second Featured New Release is the Beatrix Rose Trilogy by Mark Dawson, revised and now published by Thomas & Mercer. You can get two more of his novels and two novellas by signing up for his newsletter.

In Cold Blood ($3.99 Kindle; $1.99 companion audiobook)

Beatrix Rose was the most dangerous assassin in an off-the-books government kill squad until her former boss betrayed her, her husband was gunned down and her daughter kidnapped.

A decade later, Beatrix emerges from the Hong Kong underworld with payback on her mind. It’s a blood feud she didn’t start but she is going to finish.

There are six names on her Kill List. With one already crossed off, Beatrix sets out to find her second target, a mercenary being held hostage by Somali terrorists. Can she infiltrate the most dangerous failed state on the planet and scrub him off the List, too?

Packed with explosive action and page-turning suspense, In Cold Blood is the first novel in Mark Dawson’s bestselling Beatrix Rose series.

Blood Moon Rising ($3.99 Kindle; $1.99 companion audiobook)

Ten years ago, Beatrix Rose headed an off-the-books hit squad to carry out the dirty work of the British government. When she discovered that the commander of the squad was corrupt, he sent five of his assassins to rub her out. But they failed. Bad mistake.

There were six names on Beatrix’s Kill List. Two have been accounted for, and she has number three in her sights. But Bryan Duffy is in Iraq, surrounded by mercenaries, and there’s no easy way for Beatrix to get to him and no easy way to get out.

Strap in for Book Two of Mark Dawson’s heart-stopping, bestselling Beatrix Rose trilogy.

Blood and Roses ($3.99 Kindle; $1.99 companion audiobook)

Beatrix Rose has worked her way through her Kill List. Four are dead and just two remain. Her enemies know she’s coming. The hunter becomes the hunted.

In a thrilling conclusion to the breakneck trilogy, Beatrix and her daughter must fight them in North Africa, New York, and finally the swamps of North Carolina. It’s a lightning-paced roller-coaster of action that pits a deadly assassin against the might of the most powerful private army on the planet.

It’s long odds for Beatrix. And that’s just how she likes it.
